A unique dining experience
TOPA Architecture took this client’s vision for a one-of-a-kind dining experience and translated it into a brand and restaurant design with franchise potential. The inspiration for the design played on the restaurant’s theme of cooking and delivering meals on hot rocks, the vision for the 4,200 square-foot restaurant and bar was to take the diner out of the high-end shopping center location in North San Jose and transport them to the core of an active volcano. This discovery experience began at the lobby where a full wall “volcano” hid the interior of the restaurant. Vertical movement and vibrant paints in reds, oranges, and black embraced the theme. And materials in flame patterns and Moss Metal Panels in rock patterns supported the vision. With plenty of seating, the indoor/outdoor dining experience is facilitated by one of the first sets of roll-ups doors utilized in a restaurant setting in San Jose. TOPA Architecture created a one-of-a-kind design for this unique steakhouse and grill.
